USAGE ADVISORY SAFETY WARNINGS: READ BEFORE COLORING

IMPORTANT: HAIRCOLOR CAN CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION WHICH IN CERTAIN RARE CASES CAN BE SEVERE. THEREFORE, YOU AND YOUR CLIENT MUST FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS:

WEAR SUITABLE DISPOSABLE GLOVES during the preparation, application and rinsing of the product

DO NOT USE IF:

- Your client has already had a reaction to a haircolor product

- Your client has a sensitive, itchy or damaged scalp

IF YOUR CLIENT HAS A TATTOO, THE RISKS OF AN ALLERGIC REACTION MAY BE INCREASED.

PERFORM A SKIN ALLERGY TEST ON YOUR CLIENT 48 HOURS BEFORE EACH USE OF THIS PRODUCT as allergies can develop suddenly, even though your client has previously used a haircolor product from this brand or another (instructions below)


SKIN ALLERGY TEST INSTRUCTIONS Clean an area the size of a quarter in the bend of your clients elbow with soap and water. Pat dry. Use a plastic utensil. FOR EXCELLENCE CRME GRAY COVERAGE, EXCELLENCE CRME RESISTANT GRAYS, EXCELLENCE CRME BROWNS EXTREME, EXCELLENCE CRME REDS EXTREME and EXCELLENCE CRME BLONDES EXTREME: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 1 part recommended Oreor Crme Developer in a plastic or glass container. FOR COLOR GEMS: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 1 part Color Gems Activator in a plastic or glass container. HICOLOR: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 1.5 part recommended Oreor Crme Developer in a plastic or glass container. FOR HICOLOR HILIGHTS: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 2 part recommended Oreor Crme Developer in a plastic or glass container. FOR PREFERENCE, MEGA REDS, MEGA BROWNS AND EXCELLENCE: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 1 part recommended developer in a plastic or glass container. FOR MEGA BLONDES: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 2 parts Mega Blondes Creme Developer. FOR FERIA PROFESSIONAL: Mix 1 part hair colorant to 1 part Feria Multi-Tone Developer in a plastic or glass container. FOR COLOR SMART: Mix 1 part Color Smart Gel to 1 part Color Smart Color Revealer in a plastic or glass container. Tightly recap the hair-colorant and developer. Do not use metal utensils. Apply mixture to the test area with a cotton swab or ball. Let test spot dry. Instruct client not to wash, cover or disturb for 48 hours. Instruct client to examine test area periodically over the next 48 hours. If he/she experiences any reactions - such as redness, burning, itching, swelling, skin abrasions, eruptions or irritation in or around the test area, DO NOT COLOR YOUR CLIENTS HAIR UNTIL HE OR SHE HAS CONSULTED A DOCTOR.



IMPORTANT WARNINGS: IN CASE OF A REACTION WHILE COLORING HAIR, such as stinging, rash or burning sensation on the scalp, rinse immediately and discontinue use. Before coloring again your client must consult a doctor. IF YOUR CLIENT EXPERIENCES DIFFICULTY BREATHING, TIGHTNESS OF CHEST AND/OR HIVES OR SWELLING AT ANY PLACE ON THE BODY, DISCONTINUE USE AND OBTAIN MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY. BEFORE COLORING AGAIN YOUR CLIENT MUST CONSULT A DOCTOR. IN RARE CASES, THE USE OF HAIR COLORANTS HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH SKIN DEPIGMENTATION (SKIN WHITENING OR LOSS OF COLOR). THIS MAY BE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT. IF YOUR CLIENT NOTICES ANY SKIN DEPIGMENTATION OR ALLERGIC REACTION SUCH AS PAIN OR SEVERE ITCHING, DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY. Use exclusively with the recommended oxidants, 40 volume (12%) maximum. Do not use with hydrogen peroxide greater than 40 volume (12%). Use only the proportions indicated Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not use to color eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. If product gets into eyes, rinse with water. If your client is wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before rinsing the eyes. Instruct client to call a doctor if irritation persists. Thoroughly rinse hair after application. For any question relating to your clients individual sensitivities or specific allergies, instruct him or her to consult a doctor. Do not use on facial or body hair or for any purpose other than coloring your clients hair. Irritation or injury could occur. Wait at least 14 days after bleaching, relaxing or perming before coloring If your client has relaxed hair use 20 vol. developer only. Do not inhale or ingest. Prepare and use in a well- ventilated area. If swallowed, call a doctor, hospital emergency room, or poison control center immediately. Do not use over compound henna or progressive color. Keep product out of the reach of children. Do not apply on children.
